Kim Alberti is the Artistic Director and owner of Maple Avenue Dance, a prestigious dance school and dance shop in Rockville Centre, New York. Kim's extensive and incomparable training in ballet, pointe, modern, theater and voice enables her to offer the best of training and choreography to her students. Her passion and enthusiasm carries over to the staff and dancers at Maple Avenue Dance, where she is an inspiration and information source:

Civic and Professional Memberships:
Kim has performed with the National Dance Institute (Jacques D'Ambroise) at Madison Square Garden and Lincoln Center, performed on both NBC and ABC; danced and toured with the Joyce Trisler Danscompany, performing Milton Meyers, Nuevo Tango (Alvin Ailey); The Joffery Ballet, and "Limelight" based on the life of Charlie Chaplin, with Charles McGowan (A Chorus Line The Movie"). Kim appears in Harvey Edwards book, "The Art of Dance", and appears in his "2003 Dance Calendar" (Pinnacle Passion); and her prints from Harvey can be seen all over the world to this day. Kim was offered the role of "Victoria", (the white cat), in Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Cats" and a role in "Starlight Express"; Kim has danced and done guest appearances with various NYC companies starring in lead roles for both ballets and modern pieces; She is a Member of National Dance Institute, National Dance Association, "Who's Who in Dance", Dance Educators of America, and The RVC Chamber of Commerce; Kim has been the ballet coach for aspiring figure skaters, and had been the ballet coach both on and off the ice for United States Figure Skating Gold Medalist, Sarah Hughes. Kim always looks forward to restaging and choreographing MAD's annual performance of The Nutcracker; Kim is also the Director of the Award Winning MADancers Competition Team, winning both regional and national awards for her classical and contemporary choreography. She has been recognized for bringing excellent technique, class and true art to the competition world. Kim's style of teaching, directing, and choreographing is something truly unique and special to have on Long Island. She has taught dance in Rockville Centre for the past seventeen years, and her school has since become a home, and her students have become part of what is known and envied on Long Island, as the MAD family. Miss Kim has taught hundreds of dancers the values of technique, and the importance of creativity, style and performance. Touching, shaping and inspiring the lives of young dancers is what fuels Miss Kim to keep constantly striving.

Education:
Graduate of Adelphi University, BFA, cum laude (Norman Walker, Rochelle Zide Booth, Nancy Lushington, Regina Larkin); also graduated from the High School of Performing Arts (Michelle Benash, Penny Frank, Deborah Zall, Brunilda Ruiz, Elisa King, Michelle Mathesius, Jacqulyn Bugliesi); Attended the School of American Ballet (Alexandra Danilova, Stanley Williams, Suki Schorer, Andre Kramarevsky, Suzanne Pilarre, Kay Mazzo, Antonina Tumkovsky, Sean Lavery, Richard Rapp, Valentina Koslova, Maria Tallchief, Meryl Ashley, Allegra Kent, et al.); The Eglevsky School of Ballet and performed with The Eglevsky Ballet Company (Leda Eglevsky and Edward Villella, Michael Vernon); Usdan Center of Performing Arts (Frances Patrelle): and always a special thank you to Miss Willa for sharing her love of ballet and starting Kim on her incredible journey.

Miss Kim is certified by DANCE MASTERS OF AMERICA, in Ballet/Pointe, and is a member of the New York Dance Masters Chapter 26. Kim is one of only four Dance Masters from Queens to the end of Long Island!
