The Buzz from Bud
As appearing in the Rockville Centre News & Owl

"Beautifying Maple Avenue," has leapt into the right direction with the opening of Maple Avenue Dance. Although it's new location has only moved down the block, it has indeed come a very long way. I was invited to come and see the new enchanting facility, and was more than pleasantly surprised. As I walked through the front doors, I was taken aback by the charming and richly elegant environment. The dance shop welcomes you with beautiful french doors and luscious carpeting. It is a spacious shop with a sitting area, three large dressing rooms, and countless shoes and dance attire for both children and adults. Exiting the shop, I then found myself in the waiting area of the dance center. It is a tasteful and well thought out area. There are oak benches with reading materials, a study room for children, vending machines filled with healthy food and drinks, and an enthusiastic receptionist with a warm smile. Continuing down the long hallway, I was then given the tour of the four dance studios. "Studio A," is an exact replica of N.Y.C's School of American Ballet. It is a huge studio with seventy feet of barre space for RVC's future ballerinas to practice. It's harlequin floor, enables both advanced ballet and modern dancers to work in a professional environment. The other three studios are all equally as spacious, and all have fifteen foot ceilings as well. Studios B, C, and D, have wooden floors, made to accommodate the other forms of dance that Maple Avenue Dance offers. This would include Hip Hop, Tap, Musical Theatre, Jazz, Jazz/Ballet, Irish Step, Combination Classes and Introduction to Dance Classes. At the end of the hallway, there is a dressing room with an attached high tech bathroom. There is a lounge for the teachers, and a separate bathroom in the waiting room for those waiting. Maple Avenue Dance's delayed opening has enabled them to be the safest dance facility around. They are up to the new codes with both the town and the county, and have done everything possible to ensure the safety of their students. The word out is that this new location was well worth the wait. Maple Avenue Dance's family atmosphere and beautiful new facility, make it a place where parents feel comfortable leaving their children. It is no wonder that their students came up with their slogan for them. Maple Avenue Dance is. . . where you want to be!
