Through 10 years of dancing at Maple Avenue Dance I have learned that what grows in a dancer’s heart is truly something only a dancer will ever understand. Once a student discovers this, it seems as though boundaries become smaller and obstacles start to disappear.
Maple Avenue Dance strives to make sure each student who enters the studio will leave with this extra drive in their heart. Maple Avenue has taught me that a good dancer is not determined by the technique studied or skill level achieved, a good dancer is one who attains that drive that pushes you to surpass your limits not only in the studio but in every aspect of your life.
I feel lucky to have studied under Miss Kim and Miss Jen, and honored to have had the chance to work beside them as well as other current staff members. Being able to pass on to students what I was so fortunate to experience was one of the most rewarding and unforgettable years of my life.
Being in the professional world now, it is clear to me that Maple Avenue Dance is a place where a child can grow and learn more about themselves with endless support even after they graduate. To be a part of something as wonderful as Maple Avenue Dance provides a child with a strong foundation to achieve anything they attempt in life knowing that if they shall fall, they will be able to get back up with more determination than before. My years at MAD are priceless and the countless memories and lessons will be with me forever.
